Karl Bushby is walking to his house in Hull, England. And because he likes a challenge, the 40-year-old ex-paratrooper has started from the most remote point possible: Punta Arenas in southern Chile, whence he set out on Nov. 1, 1998.
The 36,000-mile journey was to take 14 years, putting Bushby back in Hull by 2012. He’s got safely across the Bering Strait, but Russian visa restrictions have slowed him down, and once he reaches Kazakhstan he may pass south into Iran, which will bring its own adventures.  [more],[more]

So, I went to see Where the Wild Things Are last night, and I have loved a lot of movies in my lifetime. A lot. But somehow I feel like this movie was made just for me. The strange sense of humor all the way up to the weird animal cameos. If you haven’t seen it yet, do yourself a favour and go.

Agreed. It was completely fantastic.

#3: cocaine
look, let’s not fuck around here: cocaine fucking sucks, you’re going to do it again, and you’re going to hang out with the most boring people you’ve ever met as they get sweaty and unattractive and talk about their jobs. its primary effect is ruining tomorrow. apparently it’s cheaper in vancouver than anywhere outside south america, which means the cocaine-using population of the entire rest of the world is retarded.
